The debut performance of The National’s Terrible Love, the first song off their upcoming album High Violet.
May is going to be madness with new material from Ratatat, The National, Band of Horses, The New Pornographers, Broken Social Scene, LCD Soundsystem and probably a shit tonne of other’s too.
The Rest — Modern Time Travel (Necessities)
I’m seriously liking The Rest at the moment. They’ve got a 4 track EP The Cried Wolf available for free which includes an awesome cover of Robyn’s With Every Heartbeat.
Loving the tones in this music video for Delphic’s track This Momentary.
Dave Ma (the director):
I didn’t want to focus directly on the negative health side effects or on the actual disaster itself [Chernobyl] because so much of this has been covered in documentaries and photo essays over the past few years. It was about showing the humanity of the people and about capturing little moments in their lives in a composed and photographic way.

“ Do you want to do normal blogs – or do you want to do it in the dark and have lasers going and make it look like you’re from space? And not call it a blog, call it a space cam?”
This is seriously good, Owen Pallett performs Lewis Takes Off His Shirt as a thunderstorm brews in the background.
It’s amazing how the wind and rain intensify throughout the song as the stage crew try to protect the gear and artist. The set is signalled to be shut down, Owen pleads “Just one more minute” and then everything culminates in an epic goose bump inducing finale.
The video is shot by We Fans a self described collective of videographers, sound guys and overall insatiable music fans and freaks. Really good stuff.
After several false starts I’ve revisited eplp, my WIP music blog à la Left as Rain and ♪. Still lots to do but it’s coming along quite nicely along with a rework of the Prologue theme. Should be good. Along.
Ramona Falls — I Say Fever directed and animated by Stefan Nadelman.
Nadelman uses a photo collage puppeted-animation technique that transforms ordinary antique engravings into a darkly macabre vision that fits the music perfectly.
LTTP on Hecq Vs Exillion – Spheres of Fury
Shot by Tim Brown and Christopher Hewitt using the new Canon EOS 7D. Depressingly badass.
The Predator references are gold, half expected the Dutch character to bust out one of the best lines ever. (via Anthea Whittle)
