Just Moved

I’ve changed this blog’s URL to bring it under the haydenhunter.me network of sites, which currently totals one, this one. I’ve put redirects in place so that the old links (including RSS feeds) will redirect to their new locations. Gravy.

My blog’s also testing a still in progress update to my Prologue Theme. I’ve included heaps of customisation options, for example: endless scrolling (well until you run out of posts), an optional fixed second column, custom icon and text colours, widescreen and more pretty YouTube embeds, easier Disqus setup, and better integration with Tumblr to add links to external profiles on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc., and yes, the photo overlays are gone.

So if you have anything you’d like improved in the updated version spam my Ask form. If you’re after a response please leave some contact info.

When will it be ready? I haven’t a clue.

300&65 Ampersands

Showcasing a gorgeous new ampersand everyday.

Also worth following is the similar post-a-new-type-each-day tumblelog Specimenism.

Over the last few days I decided to splash out and update my tumblr with the latest and greatest internet fashions. Flossy.

The realign borrows a fair bit from my Prologue theme but with some added polish.

  • I can now change all the link and icon colours from the customisation panel which is sort of useful.

  • The default jQuery thickbox I was using was pretty meh, so I wrote my own. I’m no JavaScript expert so feel free to politely point and laugh when it breaks. It shouldn’t, but it could.

  • I’m also using Matthew Buchanan’s handy Better Vimeo Embeds script for added betterness.

Most of this stuff will be included in a long overdue update to my Prologue theme, stay tuned.

Hot off the wire, here’s Paul Deady’s radio interview with Tumblr founder David Karp while he was in New Zealand for the Web09 conference this past week.
